1. Agreeing to these terms

jit.delivery (the “site”) is owned and operated by an individual supply-chain practitioner (“we”, “us”, “our”). By visiting the site or using any of its calculators, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of your agreement with us.

2. What the site is

The site provides free, browser-based calculators for freight and delivery economics (freight cost per unit moved, a current-versus-optimised lane comparison, and a controllable-versus-structural cost stack), together with plain-English explanations of the standard methods behind them. The tools are provided for general informational and educational purposes.

The calculations run entirely in your own browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are not sent to us or stored by us; they exist only on your device while you use the page. General usage information (such as which pages are visited) may be collected through the services described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

3. Not professional advice

The calculators apply standard, industry-agnostic formulas to the figures you supply. Their outputs are a starting number, not a final answer, and any benchmark bands or worked examples shown are illustrative unless the page says otherwise. Nothing on the site constitutes professional, financial, accounting, legal, or operational advice, and no output should be relied on as the sole basis for a business decision.

You are responsible for validating every result against your own lanes, rates, costs, and business circumstances, and, where the stakes warrant it, for taking advice from a qualified professional, before acting on it.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the site for lawful purposes only. In particular, you agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting infrastructure, or any connected system; interfere with or disrupt the site's operation, including through automated requests that place an unreasonable load on it; scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale, whether manually or through bots or similar tools, except as permitted under section 5; misrepresent the site's outputs as certified, audited, or professionally endorsed figures; or use the site in violation of any law applicable to you, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

We may suspend or block access to the site, without notice, where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the site (including its text, explanations, page designs, layouts, graphics, and the code that implements the calculators) is owned by jit.delivery and protected under Indian copyright law, unless expressly stated otherwise. The underlying mathematical formulas are standard industry methods and are not claimed as proprietary; our expression, explanation, and implementation of them are.

You may view the site, use the calculators for your own business or study, print or save individual results for your own records, and share links to the site's pages. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute substantial portions of the site's content, or present it as your own, without our prior written permission. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use the jit.delivery name in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement.

6. Links to other sites

The site links to third-party websites, including our companion inventory-planning tools at outofstock.in and, from time to time, other external resources. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control and for which we are not responsible. A link from this site is not an endorsement of the linked site or its content.

7. No warranty

The site and its calculators are provided free of charge, on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take care to keep the formulas correct and the content accurate, we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that its outputs will be accurate or complete for your specific circumstances, or that its content is current at any given time. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, jit.delivery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss (including loss of profits, revenue, inventory, business, or data) arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site or any of its calculators, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. Your use of any calculator output in a business decision is at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, or any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot be waived by agreement.

9. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time. We may also revise these terms from time to time; the current version will always be published on this page with its “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the site after a revision takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the site, are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any law conferring jurisdiction elsewhere that cannot be excluded, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.

11. Contact and grievances

If you have a question about these terms, want to report content you believe is unlawful or infringing, or have any other grievance about the site, please reach us through the Contact page. We review and respond to genuine complaints, including takedown requests, within a reasonable time.

12. General

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our not enforcing any provision at a given time is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These terms, together with the policies referred to in section 1, are the entire agreement between you and us concerning your use of the site.
